Map of All Countries I've Traveled
Hey there, my name is Gio and I am originally from Georgia. I was 16 when I made my first solo trip to Madrid Spain, where I went to school to learn Spanish. I continued to study IATA Travel Consultant/Travel Agent and later on, graduated in Tourism Management. I remember once our professor said ’’collect experiences, not things’’ that traveling is one of the most amazing experiences of life, he also added that as tourism industry employees we would not be the ones who will get to travel as much, instead, we would have this Monday to Friday type of job selling plane tickets and travel packages to other lucky ones. I have worked for over 10 years in the Tourism and Hospitality industry, of course, I enjoyed it every single day as I got to work mostly with tourists and travelers from all around the world, listened to their amazing stories, and practiced different languages, but also I went traveling whenever I got a chance.
.
I started to live abroad as a teenager, experiencing different cultures, and different languages, and making friends from a multitude of backgrounds, which became part of my life. Coming from a very small country this was a big change for me, I was instantly mesmerized by foreign sights and developed a passion for learning different languages, appreciating people’s cultures, and discovering the world was just starting to grow on me. I consider myself very lucky to have had these opportunities and would like to share my experiences with you. I’ve visited about 40 countries to date, I travel solo most of the time, trying to capture interesting sights in front of me. I found that one of the most fascinating aspects of traveling is just living and absorbing people’s daily lifestyles. When I travel, I always allocate a day to just sit back amongst the locals, maybe in a café or terrace overlooking people, and blend into the crowd and watch the endlessly intriguing ways that people behave and interact with each other. I also make it a point to taste local food and drinks and visit interesting sights and tourist places. I travel mostly on a budget, always research the place, and plan ahead but the most memorable stories and experiences that happened to me are the ones that didn’t go as planned.

I had always wanted to start a blog to share my personal and professional experiences and at the beginning of 2020, during COVID-19 restrictions, I finally had an opportunity to start ’’Terra Travel Stories’’. My goal is to encourage you and help you to get started on your travel experience, I work very hard to give you the best information possible. Lastly, I’d like to invite you to join my social media where I share more useful information and travel videos. Feel free to reach out and ask me any questions, I’ll be more than glad to give you the best response.
